I have implemented the following policies for all clients. If you would like to discuss any of these, please do not hesitate to contact me, thank you!
Massage therapy is not appropriate for all health conditions, so for that reason, all clients are REQUIRED to fill out a Massage Intake Form prior to their first session and then annually or any time there is a change in their health or medications.
The form will be sent to you electronically via email and/or text so that you can complete it online. I cannot not proceed with the session without a complete and signed intake form on file for your first appointment.
The massage intake form must be completed and signed by the person coming for the session unless they are a minor.
Late cancellations and no shows have a significant impact on my small business. I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice, does not give me sufficient time to schedule another client in your place.
New clients are required to have a valid credit card on file to secure their first appointment.
A $35 late cancel fee will be charged for cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours notice. No shows will be automatically charged 50% of the session fee. All fees must be paid before you will be allowed to book again.
Online booking will be disabled for clients with excessive and frequent rescheduling regardless of the amount of notice. Appointments will need to be scheduled directly with me to ensure we find a time that works for your schedule.
**Late cancellations due to emergencies, inclement weather or illness typically do not result in any fees, but is determined on a case-by-case basis.**
Deep tissue massage is not the same as deep/heavy pressure. I achieve great results with deep tissue techniques using a combination of medium and firm pressure. I will apply deeper pressure in a focused manner when appropriate but I will not do a full massage of extreme firm/deep pressure. Applying that type of sustained pressure is extremely hard on my body, puts me at risk of injury and is completely unnecessary.
Cupping therapy is available as an option for deep tissue as well. Thank you.
Please plan to arrive for your appointment no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled session unless arranged with me ahead of time.
If you do arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled session time, please feel free to use the restroom or take a seat in the chair in the hall. If my door is closed, please do not knock. I use the limited time between clients to clean and prepare for your session and possibly have a quick bite to eat or catch up on client notes. I will open the door 10 minutes before your session. Thank you!
Arriving late for your session may result in your session being shortened so that your sessions ends at the scheduled time. It is not fair to make the next client's appointment start late.
Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to your late arrival.
Payment is due at the time of your session unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
I accept Credit Cards, Cash, Venmo and CashApp. Sorry no personal checks please.
I am a licensed professional and I hold myself to the highest of standards and have an ethical, boundary-driven practice.
There is absolutely no sexual component to massage therapy whatsoever.
I have a ZERO tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior.
Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in the immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future.
You will be charged the full session fee regardless of the length of your session at the time of termination.
Depending on the type of behavior exhibited, I may also file a report with the local authorities.
All clients will be fully draped during the session. No exceptions.
