I appreciate your business!
I have implemented the following policies for all clients. Thank you!
Massage therapy is not appropriate for all health conditions, so for that reason, all clients are REQUIRED to fill out a Massage Intake Form prior to their first session and then annually or any time there is a change in their health or medications.
The form will be sent to you electronically via email and/or text so that you can complete it online. A signed and completed intake form must be on file prior to your first session.
I require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment:
New Clients:
Must prepay first appointment.
If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will receive a 50% refund of your deposit.
No shows will forfeit the entire deposit with no refund.
Existing clients:
You are allowed to pay for your session at the time of service.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $35 late cancel fee.
No shows will result in a charge of 50% of the session fee for all clients. All late fees must be paid prior to booking again.
**Late cancellations due to emergencies, inclement weather or illness typically do not result in any fees, but is determined on a case-by-case basis.**
Thoughtful Pressure. Real Results.
I believe that for massage to be truly effective, it must calm your nervous system. When your body feels safe, supported, and unhurried, muscles release naturally and lasting change can occur.
Because of this, I offer deep tissue massage but I do not offer deep or forceful pressure. Tension does not resolve through pain it resolves when the body is able to shift out of stress and into rest. Your massage does not need to hurt to be effective. My work uses intentional, responsive pressure that meets your body where it is. This approach creates meaningful therapeutic results while remaining sustainable for both you and me.
If deep pressure is the most important component of your massage, I am not the right therapist for you and that's ok! There are plenty of massage therapists out there that can give you the type of pressure your body needs.
Please avoid taking any type of pain medication (including over the counter) within 4 hours of your massage appointment.
Pain medications reduce your pain perception, which is why you take them in the first place, to get relief.
However, when you are getting a massage you are unable to give proper feedback regards to things like pressure because of this altered perception. You may not register the massage pressure as being uncomfortable, which can result in increased pain once the medication has worn off.
Please notify me immediately if you have taken any pain medication within 4 hours of your appointment.
Arriving to your appointment when you are sick is not only unfair to me and my other clients, but is generally not safe and will make your illness worse.
Please reschedule your appointment with as much notice as possible if you are experiencing any signs of illness including but not limited to fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills, rash, diarrhea, vomiting, or any symptoms associated with contagious conditions including the common cold.
I am happy to reschedule your appointment to a later date when you are feeling better.
There will be no cancellation fee for infrequent appointments rescheduled due to illness, provided I am informed promptly.
If you arrive at your appointment exhibiting any symptoms of illness, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be sent home. Your appointment can be rescheduled at a later date when you are feeling better.
Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow time for you to get ready and on the table.
The hands on portion of your session begins at the scheduled time.
Due to the limited time between clients, I am not able to accommodate early arrivals of more than 10 minutes. If you arrive earlier than 10 minutes prior to your appointment and my door is still closed, please wait outside or feel free to use the restroom.
If you arrive late for your appointment, your session may be shortened so as not to affect the appointment scheduled after you.
To make my studio comfortable for all clients, please refrain from applying perfume, cologne or smoking/vaping immediately prior to your appointment.
Payment is due at the time of your session unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
I accept Credit Cards, Cash, and Venmo. Sorry no personal checks please.
I am a licensed professional and I hold myself to the highest of standards and have an ethical, boundary-driven practice.
There is absolutely no sexual component to massage therapy whatsoever.
I have a ZERO tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior.
Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in the immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future.
You will be charged the full session fee regardless of the length of your session at the time of termination.
Depending on the type of behavior exhibited, I may also file a report with the local authorities.
All clients will be fully draped during the session. No exceptions.
