I have implemented the following policies for all clients. Thank you!
Massage therapy is not appropriate for all health conditions, so for that reason, all clients are REQUIRED to fill out a Massage Intake Form prior to their first session and then annually or any time there is a change in their health or medications.
The form will be sent to you electronically via email and/or text so that you can complete it online. A signed and completed intake form must be on file prior to your first session.
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
New clients are required to prepay their first appointment. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or if you choose not to show up, you will receive a 50% refund of your prepaid session fee.
Existing clients - A $35 late cancel fee will be charged for cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours notice. No shows will be automatically charged 50% of the session fee. If you have a credit card on file, it will be automatically charged. All fees must be paid before you will be allowed to book again.
Online booking will be disabled for clients with excessive and frequent rescheduling regardless of the amount of notice. Appointments will need to be scheduled directly with me to ensure we find a time that works for your schedule.
**Late cancellations due to emergencies, inclement weather or illness typically do not result in any fees, but is determined on a case-by-case basis.**
Arriving to your appointment when you are sick is not only unfair to me and my other clients, but is generally not safe and will make your illness worse.
Please reschedule your appointment with as much notice as possible if you are experiencing any signs of illness including but not limited to fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills, rash, diarrhea, vomiting, or any symptoms associated with contagious conditions including the common cold.
I am happy to reschedule your appointment to a later date when you are feeling better. There will be no cancellation fee for infrequent appointments rescheduled due to illness, provided I am informed promptly.
If you arrive at your appointment exhibiting any symptoms of illness, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be sent home. Your appointment can be rescheduled at a later date when you are feeling better.
My office will be open for you approximately 10 minutes before your session begins. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for a brief chat about your goals for the session and to allow you to get undressed and on the table. The hands on portion of your session begins at the scheduled time.
Late arrivals may result in your your session being shortened so that your sessions ends at the scheduled time. It is not fair to make the next client's appointment start late. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to your late arrival.
To make my studio comfortable for all clients, please refrain from applying perfume, cologne or smoking/vaping immediately prior to your appointment.
I want all of my clients to have the best possible experience and receive the type of bodywork they are hoping for. Deep tissue massage is not the same as deep/heavy pressure. Deep tissue massage is a specific technique of targeting deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using slow and specific strokes. It is not about how hard the massage therapist presses.
My massage style for a therapeutic, deep tissue massage is a combination of medium to firm pressure to release tension or address pain while calming the nervous system to allow the mind and body to relax. I receive excellent results, which ensures both your comfort and my ability to deliver effective and sustainable care without the risk of injuring myself.
Extra firm, super deep pressure is not something I do. If massage pressure is the most important component to you, I am not the right massage therapist for you.
Payment is due at the time of your session unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
I accept Credit Cards, Cash, and Venmo. Sorry no personal checks please.
I am a licensed professional and I hold myself to the highest of standards and have an ethical, boundary-driven practice.
There is absolutely no sexual component to massage therapy whatsoever.
I have a ZERO tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior.
Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request otherwise will result in the immediate termination of your session and a refusal of any and all services in the future.
You will be charged the full session fee regardless of the length of your session at the time of termination.
Depending on the type of behavior exhibited, I may also file a report with the local authorities.
All clients will be fully draped during the session. No exceptions.
